Initially, I was going to create a list of people, raw and uncut, featuring their true names. As I plan to mention these characters throughout my blog, I have decided to write only the raw and uncut details of my life and feelings, rather than offer the true identities of my friends and family. Instead, I will give true descritions of the pseudonames I offer to represent these people.
Okay, fuck it. I made a list of people – “characters” – with single-letter pseudonames, but I know that in the future I will get annoyed with these one-letter representations. I’m using their real names, with 2 exceptions: the two boys.
Read on.
My Family
Mom: My best friend and my role model.
Dad: I am a Daddy’s little girl, no question. He is my hero, my rock.
Jill: My sister. My Best Friend. My hero. I am so proud of what she’s accomplished and who she’s become in less than 18 years. She is amazing.
My Second Family
Randie: 2nd Mom.
Howie: 2nd Dad.
Erica & Jillian: “the twins” “the girls” my sisters.
Erica goes to UConn with me. Through more recent years we have become signifigantly closer, despite the difference in friends.
Jillian and I are incredibly close, in spite of a recent increase in proximity.
My Superheroes
A brief overview of SLAM
Sammy: People sometimes mistake us for relatives due to our similar physical attributes, but don’t be mistaken, we are not relatives, but girlfriends…in our heterosexual minds. She shares a quieter version of my same sense of humor. University of Maryland.
Lauren: We have been best friends since second grade. Our sophomore year in high school we didn’t talk due to a mindless fight at the end of freshman year. As we enter our senior year of college, our friendship has become rekindled, proving the true strength of our bond. University of Maryland
Allie: We have lived across the street from the time we were four to the present. The way I describe ‘M’ to people is that we have the relationship that when we are on car rides, we laugh so hard at nothing that silence overcomes the car and our faces are discombobulated with shear happiness and laughter. My New England Counterpart: University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
Colleen: The 5th member of SLAM. She’s got it tough, but you would never know by the way she carries herself. She is one of the strongest people I know; I am so proud of her.
Home
Rachel: [[Rachie]] Best friend from camp (Lake-Vu) made best friend at home.
Jackie: Best friend separate from SLAM. my crazy counterpart. We tear shit up.
Casey, Pete, Frank: My metephoric brothers.
Doug: Best friend. I’m pretty sure I’m his first drunk speed dial.
JoeBarros: Best friend. The most loyal person alive.
It may seem as if I have a lot of best friends. Well, I do. What can I say, I’m lucky!
UConn
As implied previously, I had a tough time adjusting to the new people of CT. For three years, most of the people that I’ve considered close friends have changed, with the expeptions of some (few). I am quite fond of those I consider my “group” now, so I am hoping my so-called luck will kick in this year…I like these guys.
Steve: My best friend with an intense history. he has a girlfriend now; thus, our friendship is no longer complicated.
Katy: My roommate who happens to be amazing (and also from Jersey). I owe most of my current friendships at UC to her.
Nikki: My Connecticut counterpart. we became very close very fast & we’re very much alike in regards to emotion and personality.
Stacey: My junior year would be nothing without her. (stacey & nikki = roommates)
there’s a large group of us…
Jess: we met in our communication classes. we are basically the same person. she is amazing and I feel so lucky to have been able to maintain a really close friendship with her well into my junior year and onto my senior year. our lives parallel each other. she’s amazing.
Chris: my newest friend. we exchanged weekend stories at least once a week. we share a similar taste in music that, in turn, motivated our friendship.
Finally…
The Boys; The Interests…
B: We officially met and became friends during my sophomore year of college in our dorm study lounge. He’s a great guy with some questionable morals. He makes me melt, and yet I can maintain a friendship with him. We sexy text on and off. Lately, we have been talking almost everyday, reminding me of my feelings for him…reminding me how much I miss him.
C: The boy who consumes my mind. He is an on and off fling that will never develop because a girl broke his heart, and time broke mine. He is amazing.
Throughout this blog, there will be a great deal of characters presented, not previously mentioned. Do not belittle their meaning, for I have only provided a brief overview of some.
hey– my blog page doesn’t offer a lot of choices. AND black is my favorite color– duh?
Keep writing psycho
